Your children can practice their printing and cursive writing skills while learning the poem “What Makes a Dad” and “Hush, Little Baby,” a traditional lullaby. They can also learn about jazz musicians, Art Tatum and John Coltrane, in Julie Pierce’s Everyday Composers. If your children have never listened to jazz, this is a great way to introduce this style of music to them and learn about some composers at the same time.
