blog enjoy the great outdoors

While you’re sitting on your couch or at your dining room table doing school, why not take a trip? Visit landmarks across the USA with Everyday Explorers – USA. Created by Julie Coney, this course allows students in all grade levels to study interesting facts about the United States and its history. There are activities, interesting facts, and links that will help the student virtually explore the areas being discussed. Map work is included as distances traveled are calculated and the weather is logged in the different areas. You can even enjoy the great outdoors from the warmth of your home, if it’s too cold to go outside, with Kelli Becton’s Wildlife Adventures. Fifteen lessons for the whole family will teach about bald eagles, dolphins, manatees, frogs, jellyfish, seashells, and more through videos, photos, fun activities, a nature notebook with copywork, math, geography, writing, and more.
