Homeschooling with Heart Blog

Food, Glorious Food

/ / Blog, Schoolhouse Teachers

Does anybody out there like to eat? When people gather, they are likely to bring food. SchoolhouseTeachers.com is no exception. Well, we aren’t bringing you food, but we are bringing you the next best thing: recipes. Our Monthly Menu is amazing! Fellow members have provided recipes for entrees, sides, desserts, breakfast food, and more. There are things like Chocolate Cherry Pockets for Camping, Shipwreck Casserole, Zucchini Cookies, and Wacky Cake. These sound too interesting not to try. Continue learning about food, including presentation, with Heather Leach in her Home Economics course. She discusses hospitality, menu planning, kitchen tools, basic cooking skills, and organization.

In Homesteading, Lisa Barthuly is spending the month discussing food and its preservation. Learn how to make your onions and apricots last longer. In September, she will discuss the topic of emergency preparedness. Plus, in September, we’ll have a brand new Whole Foods Cooking course with Sue Gregg!
