Food, Glorious Food
Most of us don’t fantasize over food like the boys in Oliver! We often have more food than we know what to do with. Sometimes, though we don’t know what to do with it. Have you ever looked at ground meat sitting in your refrigerator and wondered what to make besides hamburgers or spaghetti sauce? Maybe This Month’s Menu will help. Every month, a set of recipes are provided for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and desserts. You’ll find soups, chicken, beef, seafood, and more. The recipes often coincide with the season or a special holiday like Thanksgiving or Christmas. Do your children want to learn how to cook? This is just one of the many topics covered in Home Economics with Heather Leach. Elementary students can learn about personal appearance and hygiene and work through household roles, managing money, hospitality, food, nutrition, and cooking. There are 23 lessons that include printable lessons, activities, and enrichment resources.
