There is no such thing as starting too early when it comes to learning. From the day we are born, we are learning. Embrace your child’s stage in life and enjoy the opportunities you have to guide them. Charlotte Mason Preschool with Brittney Jordan is a resource that provides suggestions and ideas compatible with the Charlotte Mason philosophy. Each of the lessons contains three or four activities based around one nature study theme. These activities include handicrafts, art, and living books. Six self-contained monthly units are available: snow and ice, birds, weather, insects, gardening, and colors in nature. The lessons in Pre-K Activities: Read and Play with Sarah Gilbert and Wendy Woerner revolve around a particular story. After reading the story, you and your child can try some of the fun activities suggested. These can help your child gain a deeper understanding of the story and retain what they have learned. The activities range from painting to baking to playing games and more. Units based on more than three dozen books are available, including A Chair for My Mother by Vera B. Williams, Corduroy by Don Freeman, Jamberry by Bruce Degen, and The Mitten by Jan Brett.
