Grab Your Camera and Go Outside!
Learn how to take beautiful pictures with Michele Peterson’s eight-month Photography course geared toward middle and high school students and upper elementary students with parental help. Learn the basics like aperture, shutter speed, ISO, etc., and move on to a discussion of white balance, lighting, lens length, elements of design, and flash. Specific requirements for photographing birds, animals, people, food, and close-up subjects are provided. The course ends with a lesson on metering modes and pictures styles, and students are given ample opportunity to take their own photographs, including ways they can bless others with their new photography skills. While photographing birds and animals, why not learn about those animals? Nature/Outdoors with Erin Dean teaches the entire family about many of the different creatures found outside, including bears, birds, owls, squirrels, snakes, ants, and more. Erin also discusses wildflowers, evergreens, acorns, and animal habitats—all great things to take pictures of. With 14 units, many with dual tracks, a great deal of information can be learned about the outside world.
