Hey Mama Monday: God Is Behind You All The Way
“Plagues and deaths around me fly,
Till he commands I cannot die;
Not a single arrow can hit
Till the God of love sees fit.” – John Ryland
Hey Mama,
If you are living in fear, you must do a Google search on “Charles Spurgeon and fear”. Read what this preacher shared so faithfully which has helped many, many people. You are not alone.
Read Isaiah, God’s word:
“Who are you that…live in constant terror every day because of the wrath of the oppressor, who is bent on destruction? For where is the wrath of the oppressor?”
— Isaiah 51:12-13.
Where is the oppressor? Forget that question.
WHO is your Protector? Who wins?
Mama, you have already won because you have set your eyes on Jesus Christ, your Savior, the only One who saves. The Lord makes all things beautiful, even your worst trial.
He is not surprised by it. He actively works behind the scenes. He won the battle long before you were even born. And He is sovereign. He knows about what you are up against, what you have been dealing with and what you face. You have no fear. You win! You are so safe. Please do not fear.
“Fret not yourself because of evildoers;
be not envious of wrongdoers!
For they will soon fade like the grass
and wither like the green herb.
Trust in the Lord, and do good;
dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness.
Delight yourself in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him, and he will act.
He will bring forth your righteousness as the light,
and your justice as the noonday.
Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him;
fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way,
over the man who carries out evil devices!” – Psalm 37: 1-7
“Is not the gospel its own sign and wonder? Is not this a miracle of miracles, that ‘God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish’? Surely that precious word, ‘Whosoever will, let him come and take the water of life freely’ and that solemn promise, ‘Him that cometh unto Me, I will in no wise cast out,’ are better than signs and wonders! A truthful Saviour ought to be believed. He is truth itself. Why will you ask proof of the veracity of One who cannot lie?”
― Charles H. Spurgeon
Sweet Mama, keep walking. No more fretting. You who have put her faith in the Lord of lords and King of kings, the God of this universe and beyond – His hand is on your head tonight. With great love and compassion, He walks alongside you.
