Keeping It Real
Being able to keep things in perspective sometimes helps us to “keep it real.” Join Michelle Pohl for Joy in the Morning if you could use some encouragement on your journey as a wife, a mom, and a homeschooler. Each week, she will help you keep your eyes and heart set on God through a devotional and Scripture, a relatable story, a practical tip to change your perspective or de-stress, and some encouragement as you head into the weekend. Art can also help us keep it real, especially Drawing with Realism with Jan Bower. This is one of the newest courses on SchoolhouseTeachers.com. Through weekly video demonstrations and step-by-step instructions, your middle and high school students can develop or improve their drawing skills. Four-lesson projects give students an opportunity to draw a variety of objects, each with a different texture, using pencil, charcoal, and colored pencil. The subject of the first lessons is an apple. You’ll be amazed by how realistic Jan’s drawings are, and your students will be amazed by how much their own abilities flourish under Jan’s guidance.
