Language Arts – Lapbooking

/ / Blog, Schoolhouse Teachers

Who doesn’t love a good book? What if your child was able to make his own book? Join Niki Coburn McNeil for Lapbooking. Everybody can make one! A lapbook is typically made from a file folder and is filled with the finished products from each of the weekly activities—mini-books, flap books, and pockets, to name a few. It becomes a wonderful keepsake to remind students of what they learned. Niki’s monthly units cover a wide range of subjects—science, literature, vocabulary, and history—and are broken down into a lesson per week. Scientific facts or stories are made available as part of the lesson, so no further resources are required. General instructions for creating a lapbook, along with weekly activities and templates, are provided as well.
