We can learn a great deal from those who went before us, if we would just take the time to read and understand. Rhonda Clark begins her Renaissance History journey in the 12th century and finishes up at the turn of the 18th century. Weekly lessons are provided and include text, writing assignments, crafts, notebooking pages, instructions for creating lapbooks, maps, and links to videos. This month, students can learn about shoguns and samurai in Japan, China and the silk trade, and Russia and her rulers. This course is geared toward upper elementary students through high school. We can learn from the more recent past as well. The Old Schoolhouse® Magazine has made available back issues from 2012, 2013, 2014. Located under the Resources tab, you can find articles to transform your homeschool, sort out reading difficulties, build confident writers, find unique field trip locations, build online video games for free, and so much more. This is your chance to bring forth the knowledge of the past and learn from it.
