Lights, Camera, Action…
Do your kids enjoy watching movies? Have they ever thought about making one of their own? George Escobar’s 30-part Filmmaking class covers the essentials of creating a film. Students will learn about basic story structure, writing a screenplay, cameras, lighting, audio, production, and more. He also looks at different careers in the filmmaking industry. If the stage is more to your child’s liking, consider having them study Play Production with Dr. Marci Hanks. Her lessons will teach them how to write a play, including choosing characters, plot, setting, etc., and then transition into actually producing the play with lessons focusing on props, costumes, set design, and performance.
