Long Ago . . . But Not So Far Away

We can seem so far removed from history sometimes, but when we study it and really understand the people and the events, we realize they were just like we are, and they went through a lot of the same things we have gone through. Figures in History with Cathy Diez-Luckie gives preschoolers and students through the lower elementary grades the opportunity to create full-color cutouts or blank cutouts to color that they can use for hands-on history fun. Each unit includes some facts about an historic person—currently, Joan of Arc, Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson, and William the Conqueror—as well as word puzzles or other activities. Middle Ages History with Michelle Miller of TruthQuest History takes students of all ages on a 30-week journey through a literature-based history study with focus on the arrow-straight line of God’s unchanging existence, power, love, truth, and plan for civilization. You will not simply ‘meet the culture’ or ‘get the facts;’ you will probe the truths of history so deeply that your students will be equipped to change their world! Learn about King Arthur, St. Benedict, Irish monks, Augustine, knights, Vikings, Henry II, Richard the Lionheart, Robin Hood, Notre Dame, medieval towns, the Hundred Years’ War, and more.
