Making It Simple
Some subjects instill fear and dread into the heart and mind of the student. One of the best things about SchoolhouseTeachers.com is that courses are taught so the student can understand the material and will want to come back for the next lesson. Economics is one of those courses. Mike Sims teaches Economics in such a way that students will be engaged. He discusses chocolate economics, pirate economics, ski slope economics, and more with the use of videos, PowerPoint presentations, reading assignments, and news stories. Chemistry is another subject that often receives groans from students who are trying to understand it. SchoolhouseTeachers.com actually has a variety of chemistry courses. Joey Hajda’s love of chemistry is evident in his teaching style throughout Friendly Chemistry. He includes games, experiments, and wonderful worksheets. He provides instruction for the parent, as well as printable ages for the student to follow. There are also some archived lessons by Joey Hajda, including favorite chemistry labs from October 2012. Anna Crisostomo provided lessons for her course, Chemistry: All About Matter. Anna has put together some beautiful PowerPoint presentations to help students learn about matter. All of these classes are included in your yearly membership; try one or try them all.
