Announcing The Old Schoolhouse® Homeschool Survey

GRAY, Tenn. - Feb. 2, 2021 -- According to a recent research study, Homeschooling: The Research, conducted by the National Home Education Research Institute (NHERI), there are an estimated “4.0 to 5.0 million homeschool students in grades K-12 in the United States” as of January 15, 2021. This is an increase of approximately 1.5 to 2.5 million school-age children from the “2.5 million homeschool students in spring 2019.” With such dramatic growth in numbers over the past two years, Paul and Gena Suarez, owners of The Old Schoolhouse® Magazine, SchoolhouseTeachers.com, and family of products, are looking to learn more about the dynamics of today’s homeschool families and determine how to better serve the homeschooling community as a whole.

To do this, The Old Schoolhouse® is excited to announce the launch of The Old Schoolhouse® Homeschool Survey and is asking families who home educate to “share what works for them, tell us what they’re looking for in homeschooling curriculum, and why they homeschool,” says Gena Suarez, adding that the survey is “quick and easy multiple-choice and short-answer questions.”

Since The Old Schoolhouse® knows how busy the homeschooling life can be—and as a thank you to respondents for sharing their opinions—the first thousand people to submit the survey will receive a digital gift package worth over $200! Each entrant will also be entered to win a De’Longhi All-in-One Combination Coffee Maker and Espresso Machine (ARV $270.61)! Grand prize is US only.

The Old Schoolhouse® wants homeschoolers to know that it values their input and is excited to use what is learned from this survey to continue to provide quality resources to the homeschooling community—as it has done for the past twenty years. Share your thoughts on homeschooling and receive your $200 digital package today!
