Homeschooling Answers for Everything from Reading to Rebellion

Convention season supplies fuel for every stage of the homeschool journey.

GRAY, Tenn. – March 22, 2022 – PRLog – Parents across the country plan to attend homeschool conventions this spring to be refreshed and refueled as they educate their children. Hundreds of convention attendees will have the opportunity to hear Deborah Wuehler, senior editor of The Old Schoolhouse® Magazine. Deborah will share her experience from over 25 years of homeschooling her eight children. “Homeschool conventions are an incredible source of fuel. Conventions ignite excitement and inspire endurance for homeschooling families—new and experienced,” said Gena Suarez, publisher of The Old Schoolhouse® Magazine for over two decades.

Deborah Wuehler’s passion is to remind homeschool families to keep their focus on Christ and His Word and to let them know they are making the best educational choice possible when they choose to keep their children home where they belong. She will inform and encourage homeschoolers through several workshops at the upcoming Midwest Parent Educators Homeschool Conference in Kansas City, Missouri, on April 1–2. Parents can take in Deborah’s Reading Struggles & Overcoming Obstacles workshop, which reveals that good readers are not necessarily early readers, and that early readers don’t always grow up to love reading. Deborah will offer parents helpful tips designed to nurture a strong-willed child and give hope through her Homeschooling the Rebel workshop. Her other topics at this convention include The Importance of the Bible in the Homeschool, Why the Teacher Should be YOU!, and Homeschooling through Hardship.

“Topics like Deborah’s and many more presented by caring speakers will have enduring impact on your homeschool,” encouraged Suarez. “If you don’t already have plans to attend a convention in your area, make them. A day or two soaking in encouragement at a convention will keep you homeschooling at your best.”
