Prepare to Be Amazed

Everyday, the world over, there are beautiful sights, both created by God and made by men who were given the ability and inspiration by God. Students have the opportunity to be amazed as they learn about beauty and wonder through two of our newest classes. In Recovering the Beauty of the Arts, Dr. R.C. Sproul shows us, in this four-hour video course, the beauty and prestige that art, music, literature, drama, cinematography, and architecture hold to God and how the church needs to recover them. He explores different art forms and the positions they hold in the Christian life and community. In Wonders of the World, elementary students take a closer look at the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. During this five-week course students learn through text lessons, activities, puzzles, and copywork as they study such topics as the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Great Pyramid of Giza; the Statue of Zeus at Olympia, the Channel Tunnel, the Empire State Building, the Golden Gate Bridge, the Panama Canal, and more.
