Join Dr. William Spivey in SchoolhouseTeachers.com’s newest writing course, Writing Mechanics, which is located under the Family/For Parents tab. All members of the family can benefit from this six-month course which is designed to supplement any writing program and provide step-by-step instruction to improve your child’s writing ability. Middle school and high school students who have a handle on sentence structure and language development can try their hand at Creative Writing. Carrie Daws is in the middle of a six-month course that discusses modern fiction writing techniques and helps students improve their own fiction writing. They can learn techniques for creating characters and scenes and learn how to write dialogue. Additional lessons will be presented after the holidays.
