Puzzling Over Words
Why write fiction? That’s the question Carrie Daws explores in the first month of her new Creative Writing course on SchoolhouseTeachers.com. Are fictional tales simply stories, or are they something more? We’ll look at why readers choose to read what they do and what the author’s responsibility to the reader is. We’ll also evaluate our own reading choices and, finally, start a story of our own!
Can you take six letters and make fourteen different words out of them? What if we told you those words had to meet certain conditions, such as being a black, sticky substance, a synonym for a rabbit, and an antonym for love? Intrigued? Join us for Daily Puzzlers, our new language-based logic puzzles. They’re fun for the whole family!
