Remembering the Past

/ / Blog, Schoolhouse Teachers

So much history has taken place, there are virtually endless possibilities when it comes to studying it. Renaissance History with Rhonda Clark is a full-year course for students in upper elementary through high school. Beginning with Italy in the 1100s, students will learn about the region and powerful families before traveling to England where English, Irish, and Scottish history intertwined. October lessons teach about Martin Luther and the Reformation. There are activities each week, such as mapping, researching and writing, reading, watching videos that correlate with the week’s lesson, and more. This Day in History is one of SchoolhouseTeachers.com’s daily lessons that remembers events that have taken place on specific days. Students can learn about these particular events in a number of ways—reading a fictional story and living books, answering questions, and/or engaging in a hands-on activity for younger students or upper grades. Nearly an entire year’s worth of dates is available.
