One of the newest science classes on SchoolhouseTeachers.com is Biology with Ruth Sundeen. Ruth has a degree in biology and has taught a variety of science courses for the last 16 years. She is passionate about teaching science from a creation standpoint and brings that passion to this course offering. This particular science class is geared toward middle schoolers and high schoolers and is worth a full credit for those who complete the required assignments. Ruth discusses, in detail, such things as the various classifications of animal and plant life, microscopes, genetics, evolution vs. creation, and cell respiration. Students have an opportunity to learn Greek and Latin words as they relate to biology, learn some chemistry along the way, and will take a look at “Science in Scripture.” The lessons are detailed, and worksheets, diagrams, and experiments are provided along the way.
