SchoolhouseTeachers.com has many different science courses. Some are full year, and some provide supplemental material to enhance a curriculum you might already be using. One of these supplemental courses is Science with Jason Lindsey. Jason is the creator of “Hooked on Science” and has been sharing his exciting and engaging experiments with us for the past two years. Geared towards children in kindergarten through middle school, these experiments include such things as magnetic slime, a tea bag rocket, shaving cream rain, giant glowing bubbles, and a toilet paper tube ball launcher. Children are sure to enjoy these hands-on lessons, which are complete with safety guidelines. If you are looking to continue hands-on learning, join Edwina Moody for Kinetic Connections. This course is found under the Family/For Parents tab and can benefit any member of the family. Edwina shares some of her own experiences raising and teaching a kinetic learner. She provides many different resources for each topic she covers. Some of these are science, Easter, the Olympics, math, and English. Those who learn best from being able to use their hands and those who teach them can benefit from Edwina’s suggestions.
