Solve the Puzzle
When a teenager has an idea for a business, the steps to getting started can seem like a puzzle. Sometimes all he/she needs is a nudge in the right direction. Carol Topp has provided an 8-week course for teens with a business idea to help solve that puzzle. Micro Business for Teens looks at what a microbusiness is, what can be learned from starting one, how to find your ideas and make a business plan, and how to market your business. Students will take a self-inventory to find out what their interests lie, read about successful teen entrepreneurs, and learn how to develop their idea and market it in order to attract customers and be successful themselves. For those students who aren’t yet teenagers but enjoy puzzles, Daily Puzzlers under the Dailies tab will keep them busy and encourage them to use their critical thinking skills. Using a mixture of letters that form one word, students create more words based on given definitions. They’ll be amazed to see how many they come up with, just by moving a letter or two around.
