Preschool is a great age. What fun they can have while they learn! The lessons in Pre-K Activities: Read and Play with Sarah Gilbert and Wendy Woerner revolve around stories. After reading each story, you and your preschooler can try the fun activities suggested. These activities can help your child gain a deeper understanding of the story, and they will retain what they have learned. The activities range from painting to baking to playing games and more. There are more than three dozen book studies available, including A Chair for My Mother by Vera B. Williams, Corduroy by Don Freeman, Jamberry by Bruce Degen, and The Mitten by Jan Brett. Charlotte Mason Preschool is a resource for parents, brought to us by Brittney Jordan. Brittney provides suggestions and ideas for parents who are looking for age-appropriate activities that are also compatible with the Charlotte Mason philosophy. Four weeks of lessons are based on a nature study theme (snow and ice, birds, weather; insects, gardening, colors in nature) and include other activities such as handicrafts, art, and living books. The six self-contained monthly units include three to four activities per lesson. Little ones will have so much fun, they won’t even realize they are learning.
