The Adventure of a Lifetime
Would you agree that homeschooling is an adventure? There is always something new to learn. We learn about our children’s learning styles. We adapt our teaching. We search for the right curriculum. Another exciting adventure, for me, is reading the Bible. There is always something new to learn here as well. SchoolhouseTeachers.com has a new course—Bible Adventures—through which Pip Dumbill shares monthly Bible stories with students in preschool through the elementary grades. They are divided into three weekly lessons plus a printable activity pack. These fully illustrated Bible stories help parents teach their children about the Bible in a fun and creative way. The adventure continues with Wildlife Adventures. This 15-lesson course for the whole family is led by Kelli Becton. Kelli shares videos, photos, and fun activities about some of nature’s creatures such as the manatee, birds, jellyfish, and the sand dollar. She encourages the creation of a nature notebook along with copywork, math, geography, writing, and more.
