The Created Things
Many of our classes here at SchoolhouseTeachers.com give children the opportunity to create with their hands. This provides an extra level of learning with the goal of greater retention. Offering more than a full semester’s worth of lessons, Tinkers* Club with Ed Sobey is one such class. To the delight of students and parents alike (as well as staff), Ed has returned with new lessons. This month he is discussing light emitting diodes (LEDs)—the science behind them and how to accessorize with them. Both boys and girls will be delighted with this lesson. Access any of the past lessons at any time. Botany with Julie Polanco takes a look at the created world of plants. Providing a full semester or more of lessons, Botany has been discussing flowers, ferns, mosses, gymnosperms, and now plant genetics. Consider creating a full-year science course by combining Botany with one of our other science courses.
