Hey, Mama,
We make use of some educational apps–both Chloe (4) and Sani (6) use the iPad for some of their schooling. Apps are especially handy when we’re traveling or on the go. Check out this article from Kendra Fletcher, “Great Apps for Little Kiddos” for some ideas for your littles or Sarah Duggar’s article, “Using the iPad” for advice.
By the way, Mama, I heard you could use some encouragement. Did you know that while these trials are difficult at the moment, they won’t always be? And did you know that even in the heart of the testing, you can be an encourager to others? You know what they are going through; you’ve experienced it firsthand. You’ve cried the same tears, prayed the same fervent prayers. You can relate, Mama, and someday, you will have a perspective even more sharp than you have now.
Keep yourself in God’s word, grow in wisdom, because deep pain which turns to joy results in a godly COUNSELOR like no other. And someone in your future needs you. Do you understand that? YOU WILL BE NEEDED. So embrace this period with pure JOY, knowing that the King of kings has a plan for His beautiful daughter–you–even in all of this.
And it IS a beautiful plan. Get through this moment with peace and steadfastness, Mama, so you are ready when He calls you to what’s next. It’s coming soon. And don’t think for a minute you are going through this alone. He is holding your hand, and His hand rests on your head. Keep walking.

“I look forward to THM every Wednesday. I really enjoy Deborah’s articles. For some reason, it must be God, she always writes about what I am needing to hear. Her ability to put scripture and God in the middle of all her articles keeps me coming back. I recently have been enjoying the Youngs’ [articles] because I have a young man (10) in my house. The encouragement of the Youngs is fabulous. I thank God for parents like them that pave the way for parents like myself and my husband.”

“Thanks ever so much. I love the encouraging articles! I really loved the list of 25 all in one place. Nice to have this little bit of “free” encouragement in my mail. I don’t have funds to subscribe or purchase frills and with also working more than half time I don’t have time to search it out. May God bless you exceedingly.”
