Hey Mama,
Have a lighter day than planned today, if you can. Today all the “stuff” will get done, but you and I both should remember:
- It doesn’t have to be done perfectly.
- Two weeks from now, how important will it still be?
- There are precious little “things” far more crucial to tend to: hearts that you are molding, little faces needing kissing.
- It may not all get done. Who cares, right? There’s always tomorrow.
Today CAN be light. It CAN be full of laughter instead of furrowed brows and rushed activities. Drop a couple things if you must. House not clean? Again–in two weeks, will you care that on today your house was a pit? I know I won’t.
Today I’m playing with my kids. I’ll work, too. I’ll even brush my hair (maybe). But I’m going to try to keep my priorities in place: And my “stuff” can wait.

“I look forward to THM every Wednesday. I really enjoy Deborah’s articles. For some reason, it must be God, she always writes about what I am needing to hear. Her ability to put scripture and God in the middle of all her articles keeps me coming back. I recently have been enjoying the Youngs’ [articles] because I have a young man (10) in my house. The encouragement of the Youngs is fabulous. I thank God for parents like them that pave the way for parents like myself and my husband.”
