A firm understanding of proper grammar will help students as they progress in school and in life. SchoolhouseTeachers.com has brand new first grade grammar lessons in Daily Grammar under the Dailies tab. Start your kids early and take advantage of the beautiful alphabet flash cards that have been created for you by printing and laminating them so that they can be used throughout the year. Lessons are archived for third through fifth grade with active lessons ongoing for fifth.

If you haven’t had a chance to view Simply Shakespeare yet, be sure you do. Many activities have been put together to enhance your child’s understanding of Shakespeare, from discussion questions, a poster activity, vocabulary, geography, and instructions for their own performance. Check out the Lego Movie Challenge that was added during the winter.

Once the grammar is learned and Shakespeare is understood, it is time to think about college. Visit College Choice Guidance with Denise Ames if you’ve just begun to research college. She provides activities for all levels of high school as students learn about requirements, scholarships, and testing. Her lessons help students stay on track and achieve their goals.
