SchoolhouseTeachers.com has many options available to improve your child’s writing ability. Two mini-courses are Writing: Compare and Contrast and Writing: The College Admission Essay, both led by Sharon Watson. These courses contain ten lessons and two lessons, respectively. Compare and Contrast teaches middle school and high school students various methods of comparing and contrasting—an important skill, while The College Admission Essay is geared toward high school students who are preparing to apply to college. Sharon discusses dos and don’ts and what college admissions counselors look for in an essay. She helps students gain confidence as they write this all-important essay.
