Kids Quick Cook: Chicken Noodle Casserole
The weather outside is still brisk and chilly which calls for warm comfort food for family dinner. This is a great time to have a nice hot casserole, something to warm your insides. Or like our grandparents used to say, "Something to stick to your stomach and keep you full."
This recipe has been handed down in many families for its simple preparation and common ingredients, and we've included this in our Kids Quick Cook series of recipes that your littles can help with and your bigs can do on their own! The simple concept of this casserole has a mouth-watering blend of flavours and should please children of any age. And it is great for the chicken lover too! Get out the supplies, grab your child helper, and start making this yummy dish!
Kids Quick Cook: Chicken Noodle Casserole
- 12 oz. egg noodles
- 4 cups cooked chicken, chopped up in bite-sized pieces
- 2-10 oz. cans of cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups frozen vegetables (your choice of the kind)
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder
- 2 tbsp. chopped parsley
- salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Spray a 9 x 13 casserole dish with cooking spray.

Cook noodles according to package. Drain.

Mix together all ingredients except parsley into a bowl.

Put the mixture into the casserole dish, sprinkle the parsley over it and then cover it. If you don't have a cover, just use aluminum foil.

Bake for 30 minutes or until heated through.

Dish it out and serve!
