Balancing Home with Homeschooling

Most homeschooling moms have a plethora of other tasks, not the least of which is doing housework. These are two full time jobs along with whatever else mom has on her plate! While it may seem overwhelming to juggle all these roles, there are some ways to make it easier.

 

Is your kitchen overrun with school books and supplies? Can't find a way to keep the house clean while also homeschooling? Need to fit in your work from home job but don't know where it fits? Are you hiding in the bathroom to find even a minute of quiet? If you answer yes to any of these questions, you are not alone! Many homeschool moms have struggled with these same questions. Thankfully, we have each other to learn and gain ideas from. We don't need to feel frazzled and exhausted at all times and things don't have to be a mess. We have lots of helpful tips to help you balance your personal time, relationships, business time, homeschooling, and housework. Yes, you can do it all, and you don't have to be superwoman but a firm hold on Jesus helps a lot!

In a world where nothing seems normal right now, our family has had to rely on our faith more than ever to get us through and keep us grounded. The circumstances have changed our routines. It has changed our gratitude level; it has changed how we interact with people, how we homeschool, how we feel about world views, and how we plan for our future. I can say that with all the negatives of the last year, it has been the steadfast love of the Lord that has directed us in a more purposeful life, and I am beginning to see the positive side of things.

Feeling overwhelmed can be a part of homeschool. As a homeschool mom, you have multiple jobs on your shoulders: teacher, housekeeper, cook, chauffeur, etc. Not to mention the things you want to do for yourself like study your Bible, exercise, etc. You would need a 72-hour day, it seems, to accomplish all these tasks in one day!
