Family Style Life Skills

What are your children learning as they spend the days with you? They are likely learning a great deal of life skills they would otherwise miss out on. From helping in the kitchen, to yard work, to housework, to working on the family vehicle and many other tasks, there is always an opportunity for teaching like skills.
Not only are home educated children learning basic life skills, the also have the time and freedom to explore things that really light their fire for learning. Many of the things children can find interest in these days can also lead to a way to make income. "If you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life" is a saying we have all heard but sometimes it seems out of reach. If we teach our children basic skills and work ethic, they will have the foundation to make a living based on their interests. Coding, sewing, art, music, baking, mechanics, construction, engineering and business ownership are just a few of the things are children can explore at home within the freedoms of home education. The sky is the limit for what we can learn together!
