Use Your Imagination
Are your middle and high schoolers creative? Do they write thrilling stories? Do you find, though, they could use a bit of fine tuning? Join Carrie Daws in her Creative Writing course as she spends the next two months discussing dialogue. If you’ve just joined SchoolhouseTeachers.com, you can still access the first three months’ worth of lessons which asked the question “Why Write Fiction?” and looked at character and scene development. Daily Writing under the Dailies tab is another excellent resource to encourage creativity. Sharon Watson provides different writing prompts each day, such as finishing a story, answering interesting questions, writing advertisements, and so on. These are courses that encourage students to really think about what they are going to write. Above all, they encourage the use of their imaginations.
