Using Media to Get the Job Done
Many parents worry about how much time their children spend in front of the television, computer, and gaming systems. Media Socialization with Lisa Dunne encourages students to take a critical look at God’s design for our culture and how we as consumers are persuadable. Explore the world of advertising, movies, and music and learn about the way they influence the public. The course ends with a discussion about becoming producers of culture, not just consumers. Becoming an Internet Entrepreneur with Dana Susan Beasley allows students to do just that. Dana has an extensive discussion each week about beginning an internet business. She desires to have students understand first and foremost God’s role in their lives and then how they can honor God through becoming an internet entrepreneur.
