There aren’t many educational sites available online that have the same quality or quantity of courses as SchoolhouseTeachers.com. With more than 100 classes available 24/7, you have your pick of core subjects or a plethora of electives. Many of our electives work very well together, like Simply Shakespeare and Play Production. As students join Rachel Ann Rogish and her crew for Simply Shakespeare (under the Dailies tab), they will gain an understanding of Shakespeare and his writing. Not only will students read the plays, but they will be encouraged to perform them, either with a group of other students or with Legos or other figures. Rachel Ann provides discussion questions, crafts, and other activities. Play Production with Marci Hanks is a 29-week course for middle and high school students. Marci takes students through the process of producing a play, like a Shakespeare production, with lessons on choosing a topic, writing the script, staging the play, and finally producing the play. Taking Play Production can help students who desire to put on a production of one of Shakespeare’s works.
