When our teenagers have an idea for a business, we want to provide them with the tools they will need to succeed. SchoolhouseTeachers.com has courses designed to help young entrepreneurs. Free Market Economics is a 24-week course that will provide middle and high school students with a basic understanding of economics. Through video lectures and online readings, as well as reading and writing assignments, quizzes, a midterm, and a final exam, Savannah Liston explains topics such as natural monopolies and time preference, the process of production, equilibrium and supply/demand, and entrepreneurs and economic growth. Internet Entrepreneurship for Teens is an extremely detailed course for middle and high school students that provides step-by-step instructions for those wishing to start a business. Dana Susan Beasley discusses things such as learning the essential elements of a well-designed logo or brand; generating ideas; selecting software; writing a slogan; marketing a business through multimedia, a website, and social media. Twenty-four weekly lessons include practical study, questions, and assignments. Students will be encouraged to explore their talents and interests and to discover their purpose and calling in life and in the job market.
