Words and Wealth
A short writing exercise a day can help your kids’ imaginations to flourish during the summer months. Fun and engaging writing prompts in Daily Writing under the Dailies tab allow kids to think of such things as teaching a five-year-old to tie his shoes, convincing their town that a major road is a bad idea, coming up with a list of synonyms, and creating their own poetry. These exercises are short but beneficial. Perhaps you have a child who is focusing his time and attention on earning some spending money. Why not work through Mike Sims’ Economics course so that they can begin to understand the value of the money in the world and how various sectors of society function based on supply and demand of a particular product or service? Learn about chocolate economics, pirate economics, and the economy of football.
